This was a wonderful event that seemed at the time to be a one and only. However it generated so much goodness that it planted the seed for the cafe to return years later, better than ever. It was a barebones event - a very not fit for service Calaphon espresso machine, very little knowledge of how to make it work at scale, and all the downsides of testing something on the fly for the first time. However, none of those factors could stop the true nature of the event from being realized - a spontaneous, temporary community of excited and delighted friends and strangers.
